With the sunshine and the arrival of all the performers excitement is building as the rehearsals for our late night show are in full swing!

Campo Pequeno!
Glastonbury Festival 2011 plays host to Bearded Kitten’s most impressive production to date. Behold The Campo Pequeno, positioned at the heart of The Common field this monster of a venue will bring you breathtaking shows, fire installations, a giant Piñata, outlandish Latin themed interactive games and a mass Tomatina tomato fight, not forgetting huge sets, from the likes of DJ Yoda and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaur, that will be rocking out the 1000 capacity dance floor each night ’til 6am.
Yes after months of work Glastonbury is almost upon us and promises to be off the scale.
The Venue
The features of the structure are of an unfathomable scale, created using 70 of the 12 ft (3.6m) high gates taken from the Kennet & Avon Canal set up on end in a circle. These form the crux of the 200 seat arena, which will hold up to 1000 at capacity. The entrance is through a raised Chapel, come DJ booth and walking in to the amphitheatre, greeted by a fire breathing bulls head, you are transported into a Portuguese world of mythical proportions. Michael Eavis is very excited about this project and it is not hard to see why.

The show
Every night at 1am the dance floor will be cleared to make way for Toro Libre The Bearded Kitten show. Without giving away too much the show will be fusing elements of aerial circus, Flamenca dancing, jaw dropping stunts, thumping drums and a mechanical bull, the show explores the emotional relationship between matador and bull..
It is not to be missed – you will regret it if you do!
Also do not miss out on the 5m by 5m giant piñata, or the Tomatina Tomato fight. Epic.

Beach Break Live 2011 was an absolute cracker! We arrived in the Bearded Kitten Wagons on a damp Thursday afternoon ready to rock the dance tent with the Forties to Naughties party but we were unprepared for the party mayhem that was to ensue.
In the hour before the show we thought about putting it back as there was no one in the 2000 capacity big top but just as we had all decided that we would the gates opened, as did the heavens and people started to pile in.
The air raid sirens blared out as De ‘ Vere stepped up to the decks and we were off! Compares’ Churchill and Marilyn got the party started and Warm Bear Child set the tone with some rather raunchy fifties costumes!
Burlesque star Agent Lynch really got the swinging sixties off to a boom with her sexy and topical Barbarella Moon Landing Show….
And some GOGO dancers (thanks to the lovely performance agency Warm Bear Child)
And we were ready for a right proper boogie.
As new year chimed, every guy grabbed a girl so a cheeky snog the swinging sixtes we left behind and the seventies got into full motion with a fantastic live band….
But there was no time to waste as the cannons went off again, everyone kissed someone different before, that girl from ABBA said it was nice knowing me and knowing you and we were sent hurtling into the eighties…
Where there was more dancing and good times….
Right up to the nineties where it was all glow sticks and rave culture.
We pogoed into the present day via the Naughties with Your Neice.

Och aye the noo! Bearded Kitten had a ball in bonny Scotland.
By day we made fun happen at the Highland Games (Bearded Style)
Amy Bee Sting served up some hearty fair…..
…and the contestants got stuck in, after all nothing beats a good old eating challange.
The afternoon saw some very Slippy tug of war.
And by night we globe-trotted Around The World at our concept party which saw the crowd jet setting to several different locations in one dizzying night of fun.
