The Brief
Mailchimp wanted to bring our award-winning experiential London conference format to Australia, creating a space for marketers to connect, learn, and get inspired. How do you do that? You make sure it’s not a run-of-the-mill conference. It had to feel immersive, engaging, and most importantly, unique to the Australian market.
The Creative Concept
We kicked things off in Sydney with From: Here, To: There, a one-day event built around movement, transformation, and marketing’s ever-evolving landscape. Inspired by the journey of light, we designed a space that turned the mundane into the extraordinary.
A year later, we levelled up with FWD: Sydney - same high-energy, immersive approach, but with a fresh aesthetic and format. Networking zones, live entertainment, and dynamic stage designs turned a typical B2B conference experience into something unseen.
The Delivery
Bringing these events to life meant pushing boundaries - literally and figuratively!
From our London HQ, our creative teams designed the spaces, including installations, touchpoints, stage design, chill areas and everything inbetween. Our Australian event team then took over, and began collaboration with our Australian fabrication partners to create custom-built environments that were both visually stunning and functional.
Featuring talks, panels, and Q&A sessions with speakers from competitor companies and trailblazing leaders across various industries. We flipped the script on marketing best practices, pulling inspiration from both inside and outside the marketing bubble.
Speakers took center stage with a lineup that blended industry legends and unexpected voices. From iconic Australian actress, Rebel Wilson, best-selling author Seth Godin to AI thought leader Ayesha Khanna, and even comedy icon Nazeem Hussain, we ensured the content was as engaging as the surroundings
To amp up participation, we introduced a bespoke event app, gamifying the experience, driving engagement, and making networking easier (and more fun).
The Impact
With nearly 1,000 engaged guests, an evolving format that keeps things fresh, and a reputation for delivering high-quality experiences, these events are setting a new benchmark for marketing conferences in Australia.
